Visiting Scholar (SIGUE Student)
Professional interests and goals: I recently graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with my BS in Biology with a Botany option. During my undergrad, my research experience was primarily focused on evolutionary and developmental plant biology. As I prepare for my PhD, I’m interested in exploring research on specialized metabolism in angiosperms and the applications of this work. Outside of my research and courses, I have been heavily involved on campus with various organizations (Rose Float, LGBTQ+ Center, Students of Color in STEM). Upon completing my graduate education, it is my goal to lead my own research lab and get involved in diversity, equity, and inclusion in the sciences.
General interests: When I’m not in lab, you can catch me drinking an oat milk latte, falling in the streets in my roller skates, listening to live music, or visiting a local museum!
