Martha Faner receives MSU-COM Excellence in Professional Development & Advancement of Medical Education Award
Martha Faner is the inaugural recipient of the MSU-COM Excellence in Professional Development & Advancement of Medical Education Award. Martha is an Assistant Professor in BMB with a focus on teaching in the College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Her primary role is to create and deliver content in biochemistry, genetics, microbiology and physiology to first and second year medical students as part of a teaching team. She also engages in pedagogical development and research.
Martha’s interests lie in developing and evaluating student centered learning sessions in a large class, multi-site learning environment. She lives with her husband, two daughters and dog in Grosse Pointe Woods. They enjoy hiking, traveling and cooking together.
