Essential Needs Resources

The BMB Food Pantry is available to all BMB undergraduate and graduate students. We offer a variety of shelf-stable items located in the Biochemistry Building, room 105 in the metal drawer by the room entrance door. Feel free to bring a bag or container to carry your items.

If you are interested in donating non-perishables to the BMB Food Pantry please email bmb.advising@msu.edu

The MSU Student Food Bank is available to all MSU undergraduate students, graduate students, professional students, scholars, and other eligible participants. Guests may visit once per week to access fresh dairy, produce, proteins, shelf-stable items, cleaning products, and personal hygiene supplies. The MSU Student Food Bank is open year-round to support those in need. See their hours and schedule an order here.

Academic Resources

To view a list of available Biochemistry course tutors, click here and log into the Google system with your MSU email address and password.

NOTE: If you get an access denied message (this is due to having multiple Gmail accounts), click on the "switch accounts" button and then the "sign in w/another account" link. This should prompt you to be able to log in with your MSU Net ID/Password, and then you'll be able to access the list. You must use your MSU account to access this list).

The MLC offers free help for most 100 and 200 level math classes, and even some upper-level courses. They have experienced tutors that are trained by the Math Department. More information on sessions here
The Chemistry Help room is a free resource for students enrolled in CEM 141, 142, 161, and 162. More information on help room schedules can be found here.

The Physics Help Room (1248 BPS) provides walk-in tutoring for students enrolled in selected 100 level and 200 level physics courses. The department also keeps a list of for-hire tutors. More information on help room schedules can be found here
The Writing Center at Michigan State University provides writing support for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty, at all levels of proficiency, at any stage in the composing process, and with any type of composing project. More information here.
