Opportunities
COME JOIN US!
Research opportunities are available in the lab at the levels of undergraduate, graduate
students, and postdocs. Those interested in graduate studies or postdoc should share
a CV and a brief description as to why you want to join the lab. Additionally, all
potential graduate students must first be formally accepted into a PhD program at MSU prior to joining the lab. However,
feel free to contact Dr. Tommy Vo (votommyv[@]msu.edu) to learn more about the PI and the lab.
Highly motivated MSU undergraduate students should be prepared to commit at least
9 hours/week in the lab to ensure a meaningful research experience. Part of that time
should include Fridays (2-3pm) when we host our weekly lab meetings. Students who
are interested in joining the lab should email Dr. Tommy Vo (votommyv[@]msu.edu) and include: (1) a brief description of immediate and future professional/research
goals, (2) unofficial transcript, and (3) a proposed weekly schedule that can be devoted
to lab research. We are only accepting students who wish to conduct research for credit (enrolled in BMB 490 or similar).
Soon-to-graduate students can refer to the MSU Biochemistry Research Trainee Program for more post-graduate research opportunities.
