2022 BMB Teaching Award
We are announcing a call for nominations for the 2022 Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology teaching award. This award is an important aspect of the Department’s efforts to encourage and reward excellence in teaching and the Awards Committee would like to encourage nominations of deserving colleagues.
This award is open to all ranks: tenure track faculty, fixed term faculty, and academic specialists that have demonstrated scholarship in teaching duties as they relate to the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology’s Mission. Special attention will be given to applicants that have gone above and beyond typical teaching duties.
Nominations should include a CV (if available), description of the nominee’s teaching scholarship and at least one letter of support (but no more than three). Send complete packages as a single PDF to Kristin Parent (awards committee chair kparent@msu.edu). Applications will be accepted from now until the deadline of Friday February 4th at 5pm at which time the awards committee will review the nominations. The winner will be announced in March and will receive an award of $2,500.
Award application packages can be either 1) nominations from faculty and/or students, or 2) can be self-nominated.
Please send any questions to kparent@msu.edu (awards chair).
Thank you in advance on behalf of the awards committee.
