BMB Community Profiles...did you know???
Do you know why Erich’s family had to escape from Chile when he was a child? Or why Sophia changed her name? Or why Michaela became a biologist? Check out the new BMB community profiles page here to learn these things and plenty of other interesting facts about different BMB community members. The page was created to celebrate the perspectives of BMB community members who want to share a little bit about their stories and lives.
You’ll learn things like why they got into science, what is the favorite part of their jobs, what advice they have for aspiring researchers, what they are doing to support underrepresented/marginalized people in STEM and many other things.
All members of the BMB community (including graduate students, undergraduate researchers, postdocs, staff, and faculty) are invited to participate (completely voluntary - so please do not feel any pressure).
If you would like to add your profile to the page, please fill out the template here, and send it along with 2 photos if desired (preferably one work related and one fun) to Communications.BMB@msu.edu.
If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback, please email Michaela TerAvest (teraves2@msu.edu).
