BMB postdoc Yann-Ru Lou accepts Assistant Professor position at UC Davis

Yann-Ru Lou recently completed her postdoctoral training in the Last group and began as an Assistant Professor in the Plant Biology Department at UC Davis.  Yann-Ru's research at MSU focused on two areas: understanding the evolutionary and biochemical basis for convergent evolution of protective acylglucose biosynthesis (Lou et al, Sci Adv. 2021) and using gene editing approaches to test the roles of acylsugars in protecting from insect herbivory. Yann-Ru received the BMB Outstanding Postdoc Award this year.  We wish Yann-Ru well in her new role!
