NSO undergraduate student assistant position
Paid Orientation Student Assistant Positions for summer
Four paid undergraduate positions are available for June 6-July 22 to assist BMB advisors with student enrollment during New Student Orientation (NSO). Preference for BMB and BMB/Biotech juniors/seniors but all qualified applicants will be considered. Applicants are expected to be comfortable with how to enroll using the new Student Information System because they will be assisting NSO students with enrollment. Familiarity with the BMB and BMB/Biotech major requirements is helpful but not required.
Expected time commitment 10-20 hours/week. Available shifts are Mon – Thurs 9am-12pm and/or 3-5pm June 6-July 22, although these times may be adjusted as needed based on NSO student availability.
Pay is $10/hr.
Required: Dependable Wifi, computer with webcam, comfort with being on camera on ZOOM, strong interpersonal communication, active listening skills, dependability, desire to interact with and build community with new MSU students, knowledge of how to enroll using the new Student Information System
With NSO starting on June 6th, we are on an extremely tight timeline to fill these positions. Review of applicants will begin on Monday, May 16th with applications open until positions are filled.
